Neue Kostüme

Weil ich so ein fauler und unproduktiver Mensch bin, lad ich jetzt mal so langsam die Kostüme von diesem und letztem Jahr hoch. Sonst denkt man noch, ich wäre fauler als ich es eh schon bin. XD

Berichte bezüglich Connichi und FBM gibt es vielleicht noch. Obwohl Mirro da ja eh schon das Meiste geschrieben hat. Man muss ja net alles doppelt moppeln. ^.^

This is very unrelated to your post, so I apologize in advance.

And I came across your very excellent Klan over the course of my searches. I have three questions for you with regards to your costume here:

1. Did you make your flight suit from scratch, or did you modify an existing spandex suit?

2. If you made your suit from scratch, how did you manage to size it to yourself so perfectly?

3. For the patterns on your Klan suit, did you use some sort of applique, or what?

Hey there!

I modified an existing pattern. (Kwik Sew 2722)

I made a test suit and drew the details onto that (http://img24.imageshack.us/i/r0012737.jpg/). From that suit I then made the pattern for the details. From the test suit I also could determine if I had to change the fit somewhere and take the final suit accordingly in.

I’m not entirely sure what you mean by that. I cut out the patterns and then sewed them onto the suit (like this http://img26.imageshack.us/i/r0012815.jpg/), does that count as applique? Or do you mean some kind of interfacing or iron-on stuff? If so, no I didn’t.
